| Stat Contribution | Contributes one stat to another. For example, an ability might add half of Resolve to Defense. |
| Defense Sacrifice | Sacrifices defense value. For example, an ability might allow trading defense for increased damage. |
| Rating Substitution | Substitutes one rating for another. For example, an ability might use Wyrd instead of Strength for damage. |
| Derived Stat Substitution | Swaps a component in a derived stat formula with another stat. For example, Defensive Combat replaces Athletics with Brawl or Weaponry in the Defense formula. |
