Homebrew Aspects

Mindspeech ••••

Prerequisites: Mindspeech ••

Effect: Extension to Mindspeech ••. Allows you to speak telepathically with multiple people at once (maximum number of targets based on your Feral Heart rating). This is a reflexive action with short range and lasts for one scene.

All participants gain a +2 dice bonus to Empathy rolls during the telepathic connection.

Kun's Kiss ••

Cost: 1 Essence per use

Effect: A mystical gift that allows you to grant aquatic adaptation. For 1 Essence, you can grant a target (or yourself) the ability to breathe underwater and survive cold water and salt exposure for up to 24 hours. The effect ends when the target breathes air.

You may affect up to a number of targets equal to your Feral Heart rating simultaneously. This is an instant action with lasting duration.

Spirit Gifts & Shadow Gifts

Changing breeds can access werewolf Shadow Gifts through the Spirit Gifts aspect. This represents a deeper connection to the spirit world and the ability to learn gifts from spirits that are typically the domain of werewolves.

Respect and Renown

Changing breeds use Respect instead of Renown. When a Shadow Gift facet requires Renown, you must have the equivalent Respect:

Partial Change

Partial Change is the Changing Breed equivalent of the werewolf's Quicksilver Flesh ability. It allows fera to manifest specific animal features while in forms that don't normally possess them, heightened senses in human form, human hands in animal form, and so on.

Swift Traverse Man-Guise, Throwback, War-Beast +2 Species Factor, +2 Swim Species Factor
Dexterous Digits Primal Beast, Dire Beast Grants functional human hands

Partial transformations are activated through the shift command and can be stacked if the base form is valid.


Favors: Movement Types

Certain Favors grant special movement capabilities with mechanical benefits.

Aquatic

Aquatic ferals can swim with exceptional speed and dive to great depths.

Rating Available In Effect
•• Primal Beast, War-Beast, Dire Beast Swim Species Factor 7 (replaces base)
••• All Forms Swim Species Factor 7 in all forms

Diving Depth: 100 feet per Stamina (land-based species) or 1,000 feet per Stamina (water-based species like Olutakami or Fishfolk).

Environment Access: Grants access to water_surface, water_shallow, and water_abyssal rooms when the favor is active.

Wings

Winged ferals can take to the sky in their beast forms.

Rating Available In Effect
•••• Primal Beast, War-Beast Flight Species Factor 10 (replaces base)

Flight Rules:
- Primal Beast: Automatic flight unless difficult maneuvers, hindered, or severe weather (Dexterity + Athletics required in those cases)
- War-Beast: Narratively equires Dexterity + Athletics roll every turn to fly or glide
- Man-Guise: Cannot fly, but narratively jump distance is doubled

Environment Access: Grants access to sky-restricted rooms when in Primal Beast or War-Beast form with Wings active.
